The origin of Black Friday:
In the early 1900s, the day after the day of Thanks Giving used to be very busy, the days will be filled with a lot of traffic, and that would cause a lot of chaos in the streets. The day used to be so busy that people had to inch on the streets. It became difficult for people to maintain law and order and there was no orderliness. That is when in the year 1966 the term Black Friday was coined to state that there was no peace on the day after the Thanksgiving Day.
Bad day turned to good:
Later, after the day being recognised as a bad day that had no orderliness, the retailers were dissatisfied with the idea. They thought that it wasn’t right for the customers to remember it as a black day and that is when they decided to call it a day of great profits and a day that made a huge sale in the whole of the United States of America. Since then people started remembering as a huge day after the Thanksgiving Day. After that, they also tried to give it a different name and started calling it the Big Friday instead of Black Friday so that people will remember it for the all the positive reasons instead of calling it a Black Day.
Other Black Days:
There are a lot of black days in the history of America. That is why people immediately stuck to the aim. A day called the Black Friday was also present in the 1800s. in those days the Black Friday was used to represent when the stack market crashed or when the market didn’t perform well. However, today the only black Friday that people remember is the day after Thanksgiving, and now there is no negativity.
